PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN DIFERENSIASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI KELAS V SD NEGERI 198 PALEMBANG

Abstract

This study was motivated by the results of observations, interviews, and documentation conducted with the fifth-grade teacher at SD Negeri 198 Palembang, which indicated that differentiated instruction had been implemented in the IPAS subject. However, its implementation in the topic of the human respiratory system had not been carried out systematically, resulting in students experiencing difficulties in understanding the concepts. This study aimed to determine the effect of differentiated instruction on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 198 Palembang. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 28 students from Class VB. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, in which all members of the population were selected as the research sample. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, supported by observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the mean pretest score increased from 54.46 to 75.54 on the posttest. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that differentiated instruction had a significant effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 198 Palembang.
