IMPLEMENTASI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN FLIP CARD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPAS SISWA KELAS V

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning motivation of elementary school students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), which was associated with the limited use of innovative instructional media. The study aimed to analyze the implementation of Flip Card learning media, identify its impact on students' learning motivation, and describe its advantages and limitations among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 14 Sragen. A qualitative approach with a descriptive exploratory design was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicated that the implementation of Flip Card was systematically carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The use of Flip Card increased students' learning motivation from 60.2% to 87.2%, as reflected in higher enthusiasm, attention, active participation, and curiosity during IPAS learning activities. Although the media effectively created a more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment, it also showed several limitations, including limited content capacity, longer preparation time, and the potential to create a noisier classroom atmosphere. Overall, Flip Card proved to be an effective instructional medium for improving learning motivation among elementary school students.
