PENGARUH MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA INTERAKTIF GEOGEBRA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V DI SEKOLAH DASAR

This study was motivated by the low ability of elementary school students to understand mathematical concepts in geometric nets, w hich was caused by teacher-centered learning and limited use of interactive learning media. This study aimed to determine the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by interactive GeoGebra media on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of fifth-grade elementary school students on the material of geometric nets. The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The study was conducted at SD Negeri Pasirhalang in the 2025/2026 academic year, involving class VC as the experimental group and class VA as the control group, with 30 students in each group. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of 10 questions based on indicators of mathematical concept understanding. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the mean pretest score of the experimental class increased from 37.16 to 62.91 in the posttest, while the control class increased from 38.66 to 57.58. The hypothesis test resulted in a t-value of 2.281 with a significance value of 0.026 < 0.05. Thus, the discovery learning model assisted by interactive GeoGebra media had a significant effect on students’ mathematical concept understanding.
