PENGARUH SELF CONTROL TERHADAP KEDISIPLINAN SISWA DI SDN 1 WARUKAWUNG

Abstract

Student discipline is one of the important aspects in character formation in elementary schools, but there are still various forms ofdisciplinary violations that are suspected to berelated to low self-control skills. This study aims to analyze the level of self-control, the level of student discipline, and the influence of self-control on student discipline at SDN 1 Warukawung. The research uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method. The research sample amounted to 29 students, while data collection was carried out using self-control questionnaires and student discipline questionnaires. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, and Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that student self-control and discipline were in the good category, and there was a positive and significant influence between self-control and student discipline with a correlation coefficient of 0.879 and a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). These findings suggest that increased self-control contributes to strengthening student discipline and can be the basis for schools to design more effective character development programs.
