This study describes how elementary school teachers turn abstract mathematical concepts into concrete forms through real media, and how the strategy supports students' numeracy growth. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, with data gathered from classroom observations and interviews involving seven class teachers and students from grade 1 to grade 6 at one elementary school. Concrete media such as abacuses, sticks, buttons, and play money were adapted to the material being taught. The results show that concrete media raises student engagement, enthusiasm, and confidence in explaining their reasoning, although limited media availability and gaps in students' prior knowledge remain obstacles. A well-designed concrete-to-abstract transformation strategy is concluded to meaningfully strengthen students' numeracy understanding.
