PENERAPAN FUNGSI-FUNGSI MANAJEMEN DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL REMEDIAL TEACHING PESERTA DIDIK DI SMP NEGERI 2 SUNGGUMINASA KAB. GOWA

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of remedial implementation which is often misinterpreted by students as a place to relax or a means of tolerance for laziness, as well as the existence of learning mastery gaps due to differences in student learning speeds at school. This study aims to describe the application of management functions in improving the results of remedial teaching of students at SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The data sources of this study include the Principal, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Subject Teachers, and Students. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data uses source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the application of management functions in improving the results of remedial teaching at SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency is carried out through five stages, namely planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating. The remedial teaching program can improve student learning outcomes from both cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Supporting factors include good cooperation between teachers, homeroom teachers, and the school, as well as opportunities for students to improve learning outcomes that have not yet reached completion. Inhibiting factors include limited time for implementing remedial teaching, low motivation among some students in participating in remedial activities, and differences in student learning abilities.
