IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN KELAS DALAM MENINGKATKAN EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN DI MTs ASH-SHALIHIN KAB. GOWA

Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of classroom management by teachers at MTs Ash-Shalihin, Gowa Regency; to describe the general effectiveness of learning at the school; and to examine how classroom management is implemented to enhance learning effectiveness. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the school principal, teachers, and students, while secondary data were derived from observations and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data collection was conducted via observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that MTs Ash-Shalihin engages in planning by preparing instructional materials such as teaching modules, student worksheets (LKPD), annual and semester teaching schedules (PROTA and PROMES), and other instructional tools. During the implementation phase, the school utilizes various media, methods, and learning strategies. Regarding evaluation, the principal conducts supervision at the beginning and midpoint of the instructional period. To improve learning effectiveness, MTs Ash-Shalihin implements differentiated instruction, provides motivation, and fosters good communication with students. However, despite thorough planning, issues frequently arise during implementation such as students failing to pay attention, chatting, sleeping, or engaging in activities unrelated to the lesson, which diminish the effectiveness of the learning process.
