PENGEMBANGAN E-BOOK SISTEM PENCERNAAN MANUSIA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning medium in the form of an e-book on the human digestive system material to enhance students' learning motivation and learning outcomes in Grade V Elementary School. The research is motivated by the low variety of learning media used in the classroom, which has resulted in suboptimal student motivation and learning outcomes, particularly on the abstract topic of the human digestive system. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were Grade V students of SDN Jetis 2 Saptosari. The developed product is an interactive e-book equipped with text, images, learning videos, and practice questions. The material expert validation results obtained a "very feasible" category with a percentage of 92%, media expert validation of 90%, and teacher validation of 94%. The implementation results showed that the use of the e-book can increase students' learning motivation, as indicated by the motivation questionnaire results which fell into the high category. In addition, students' learning outcomes also improved, shown by the average pretest score of 63 increasing to 86 on the posttest. These results indicate that the developed e-book has a positive impact on increasing learning motivation and learning outcomes on the human digestive system material in Grade V Elementary School. Therefore, the developed human digestive system e-book can serve as an innovative, interactive, and effective alternative learning medium to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of elementary school students.
