Mathematics learning in elementary schools still faces various obstacles, especially low student learning outcomes in data presentation materials. This condition is caused by the learning process that is still centered on the teacher so that students are less active in building their knowledge. This study aims to describe the improvement in student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in data presentation materials in grade III of SDN 19 Santur, Sawahlunto City. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were grade III students of SDN 19 Santur, Sawahlunto City. Data collection was carried out using observation, test and non-test techniques. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is able to improve the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes. Improvements are seen in student activities, as well as learning outcomes in the aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills in each cycle. Thus, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can be used as an alternative learning model to improve mathematics learning outcomes in data presentation materials in elementary schools.
