ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA INDONESIA DALAM KARANGAN TEKS BERITA SISWA KELAS XI SMA N 2 PURWOREJO

Abstract

This research is based on real observations at SMA N 2 Purworejo during the School Field Introduction (PLP) activity, it was found that the objective condition was that the majority of grade XI students experienced serious obstacles in writing news texts in accordance with correct linguistic rules. Many of the students' written works showed Indonesian language errors in the use of capital letters, word writing, use of punctuation, writing of absorbed elements, morphological errors, lexicon rule errors, syntactic errors, and discourse rule errors. The low ability to write using correct linguistic rules has an impact on the decline in the quality of students' written communication and the failure to achieve optimal language learning objectives. This study aims to describe the forms of Indonesian language errors found in the news text compositions of grade XI students of SMA N 2 Purworejo. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this study is the results of news text compositions of grade XI students of SMA N 2 Purworejo. The research instrument is the researcher himself with the help of data recording paper, stationery, and student essay sheets. The data collection technique used was reading and note-taking. Students' news texts were then recorded and the language errors found were recorded. The results showed that in the news texts of eleventh-grade students at SMA N 2 Purworejo, language errors were found, including phonological errors in the use of capital letters, word spelling, punctuation, errors in the writing of loanwords, morphological errors, lexicon errors, syntax errors, and discourse errors.
