UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPAS DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF BERBASIS PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DI SDN 01 BENGKAYANG

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade students in the subject of IPAS (Natural and Social Science) through the implementation of a cooperative learning model based on a scientific approach at SDN 01 Bengkayang. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 33 third-grade students at SDN 01 Bengkayang. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that before the action (pre-cycle), the average student score was only 27.2 with a completeness rate of 30.33% (10 students). In Cycle I, the average score increased to 45.5 with a completeness rate of 45.55% (15 students). In Cycle II, the average score improved significantly to 75.7 with a completeness rate of 78.79% (26 students), surpassing the classical completeness target of 75%. Teacher activity also increased from 3.33 (Cycle I) to 3.89 (Cycle II), and student activity increased from 3.32 (Cycle I) to 3.88 (Cycle II), both categorized as very good. It can be concluded that the implementation of the cooperative learning model based on the scientific approach effectively improves student learning outcomes in IPAS, particularly on the topic of the life cycle of living organisms in Class III of SDN 01 Bengkayang.
