EDUKASI KEUANGAN SEJAK DINI MELALUI MINI KUIS UANG PINTAR PADA SISWA KELAS III SD NEGERI 172/VI SUNGAI UDANG

Abstract

Financial literacy is a fundamental life skill that should be introduced at the elementary school level to help children develop early awareness of responsible money management. In practice, financial education in elementary schools is often delivered through conventional teaching methods, which may limit students’ engagement and understanding. This Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) aimed to introduce basic financial education to third-grade elementary school students through an interactive learning medium known as the Uang Pintar mini quiz. The program was implemented by delivering simple financial materials, including money recognition, understanding the difference between needs and wants, and fostering saving habits. These materials were presented in the form of an educational and enjoyable quiz to suit the characteristics of elementary school students. A participatory approach was applied by actively involving students in answering questions and participating in discussions throughout the activity. The results indicate that the Uang Pintar mini quiz effectively supported students’ understanding of basic financial concepts and encouraged greater student participation and learning interest. Therefore, the Uang Pintar mini quiz can be considered an effective alternative learning medium for promoting early financial education among elementary school students.
