PENGARUH METODE DISKUSI TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MATA PELAJARAN AKIDAH AKHLAK DI MTs MUHAMMADIYAH LIKUBODDONG KECAMATAN BOTONOMPO SELATAN DESA SENGKA KABUPATENGOWA

Abstract

Learning achievement is the result or change in learning outcomes obtained through a process that enables the emergence or change of behavior as a result of the formation of a primary response, provided that such changes or new behaviors are not caused by maturation or temporary conditions.This thesis aims to: (1) describe the implementation of the discussion method in the Aqidah Akhlak subject for students at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong; (2) describe students’ learning achievement in the Aqidah subject at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong; and (3) analyze the effect of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement in the Aqidah Akhlak subject at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong. Quantitative research is a type of research in which the data are in the form of numbers or non-numerical data converted into numerical form (quantified qualitative data), which are then analyzed using specific statistical formulas and interpreted to test predetermined hypotheses. Based on the results of the normality test of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong, Sengka Village, Gowa Regency, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov significance value was 0.182 with a significance level of 0.05. The obtained significance value is greater than α (0.182 > 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the data on the effect of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement are normally distributed. From the SPSS output, in the coefficients table, the constant value (a) is 15.149 and the coefficient (b) is 1.318, resulting in the regression equation: Ŷ = a + bX or 15.149 + 1.318X. From the analysis results, the significance level (α) is 5% = 0.05. The calculated t-value (t_count) is 10.958, while the t-table value (t_table) is 8.851. This indicates that t_count > t_table (10.958 > 8.851). Thus, it shows that there is a positive effect of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong, Sengka Village, Gowa Regency.
