PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KALIMAT SEDERHANA DENGAN PICTURE WORD INDUCTIVE MODEL PADA SISWA KELAS II SDN 20 SINAPA PILIANG KOTA SOLOK

The problem of the lack of basic sentence structure skills among second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City, is the fundamental basis for conducting this research. Various technical obstacles are experienced by students, ranging from the inability to construct sentences according to standard structural rules, low accuracy in vocabulary selection, to errors in the use of capital letters and punctuation that are not in line with Indonesian language rules. In addition, difficulties in converting ideas into text form result in student learning outcomes not reaching the KKTP. This research focuses on efforts to improve simple sentence writing skills by implementing PWIM in second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City. This study is categorized as CAR that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The series of investigations are carried out through two cycles, with two meetings in Cycle I and one meeting in Cycle II, where each cycle includes the planning phase, action execution, observation, and reflection. Participants in this study involved educators and 27 second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City, in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, test, and documentation instruments, then processed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study confirmed that the implementation of PWIM successfully stimulated an increase in the ability to write simple sentences in second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City. This achievement was proven by the escalation of the average learning outcomes from 76.51% in Cycle I Meeting I to 80.10% in Cycle I Meeting II, and continued to grow to reach 87.10% in Cycle II. A positive trend was also seen in the percentage of learning completion which increased from 55.56% in Cycle I Meeting I to 62.96% in Cycle I Meeting II, and reached 81.48% in Cycle II. Based on the reality of the data, it can be concluded that PWIM is effectively able to accelerate the skills of writing simple sentences in second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City.Downloads
