PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN POWERPOINT INTERAKTIF BERBANTUAN CANVA PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited use of technology-based learning media in Indonesian language instruction, particularly for procedural text materials in fourth-grade elementary classrooms. Teachers still rely primarily on textbooks and student worksheets, resulting in monotonous and less interactive learning that hinders students' understanding of the material. This study aimed to develop a Canva-assisted interactive PowerPoint learning media that is valid, practical, and effective. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research participants were 24 fourth-grade students from an elementary school in Dharmasraya Regency, Indonesia. Data were collected through observations, interviews, response questionnaires, and expert validation sheets. The results indicated that the developed learning media met the criteria of high feasibility, achieving a validity score of 94.00% (very valid), a practicality score of 99.06% (very practical), and an effectiveness score of 87.5% (very effective). Therefore, the Canva-assisted interactive PowerPoint learning media is suitable for use in teaching procedural texts in fourth-grade Indonesian language classes at the elementary school level.
