PENGGUNAAN MORFEM UNIK DALAM CERPEN MALAIKAT TANAH ASAL KARYA TRIYANTO TRIWIKROMO

Abstract

The short story Malaikat Tanah Asal, part of the collection Ular di Mangkuk Nabi, presents characteristics of semiotic contrast, such as the opposition between angels and demons, cruelty and gentleness, and killing and resurrection. These contrasts are reinforced by the use of unique morphemes that create the uncanny and gloomy effects typical of Triyanto Triwikromo’s literary world. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a morphological linguistic approach. The research data consist of words, phrases, and clauses containing unique morphemes in the short story text. The findings reveal that the unique morphemes used by Triwikromo function as enhancers of symbolic, expressive, and aesthetic nuances, while also serving as a stylistic strategy. Unique morphemes not only construct linguistic meaning but also stimulate readers’ imagination. These findings reaffirm that unique morphemes play an important role in enriching the style of Indonesian literature, particularly in creating a distinctive symbolic and aesthetic atmosphere.
