PENGARUH MODEL RADEC TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM PENCERNAAN MANUSIA DI KELAS V UPTD SD NEGERI 6 KUTABLANG

Abstract

Science learning should be able to develop students abilities in observing, analyzing, and explaining through involvement in learning. However,in reality, the learning implemented is teacher-centered with books as the only learning source, resulting in low learning outcomes and student involvement in learning. Therefore, it is necessary to update the learning process through the aplication of the RADEC learning as a solution to actively involve students while improving their learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the RADEC (read, answer, discuss, explain, and create) learning model on student learning outcomes in the human digestive system material for grade V of UPTD SD Negeri 6 Kutablang. The approach used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample used was 27 grade V students who were determined using a saturated sample technique. The data collection technique used multiple-choice tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, and was analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test assisted by JASP. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes in the experimental group with average pre-test of 40.77 and a post-test of 92.69, while the the control class obtained an average pre-test of 48.57 and a post-test of 58.21. The Independent Sample T-Test yielded a significant value of 0.001 <0.05, so Ha accepted and Ho rejected. This indicates that RADEC model hasn an effect on student learning outcomes in the human digestive system material in fifth grade student of class UPTD SD Negeri 6 Kutablang.
