PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SCRAMBLE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI PECAHAN PERKALIAN BAGI MURID KELAS IV SDN DUKUH KUPANG V SURABAYA

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Scramble cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Dukuh Kupang V in Surabaya regarding the multiplication of fractions. This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students, which are attributed to the use of conventional learning models; as a result, students are less active and experience difficulties in understanding the material, particularly the multiplication of fractions. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The study sample consisted of two classes—an experimental group and a control group—selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through assessment instruments in the form of pretests and posttests. Data analysis utilized the parametric t-test (independent samples t-test). The results of the hypothesis testing showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), so Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that this study indicates the application of the Scramble cooperative learning model has a significant and effective influence on improving mathematics learning outcomes. This model is recommended as an innovative learning variation in elementary schools.
