PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA ANIMAKER DI KELAS IV SDN 14 KOTO LALANG

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Science at SDN 14 Koto Lalang, Padang City. These problems are caused by teacher-centered learning, students who are not yet active in the learning process, students' lack of critical thinking and collaboration skills, the less than optimal application of innovative learning models, and the limited use of learning media so that students experience difficulties in understanding the Science material meaningfully. Therefore, improvements are made through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Animaker media to improve student learning outcomes. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches carried out in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 27 fourth-grade students of SDN 14 Koto Lalang, Padang City. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The research instruments were in-depth learning plan (RPM) observation sheets, teacher and student activity observation sheets, interview guidelines, documentation, and learning outcome evaluation questions. The data were analyzed qualitatively to describe the learning process and quantitatively to determine the improvement in learning outcomes based on the average value and percentage of learning completion. The results showed an increase from cycle I to cycle II. First, the RPM in cycle I obtained an average percentage of 79.17% with a sufficient predicate (C), then increased in cycle II to 95.83% with a very good predicate (A). Second, the results of the implementation of the teacher aspect of learning in cycle I obtained an average of 80.36% with a good predicate (B), then increased in cycle II to 96.43% with a very good predicate (A). Third, the results of the implementation of the student aspect of learning in cycle I obtained an average of 80.36% with a good predicate (B), then increased in cycle II to 96.43% with a very good predicate (A). Fourth, student learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in cycle I averaged 69.92%, with a grade of "poor" (C), which then increased to 85.71% in cycle II, with a grade of "good" (B). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model with the aid of Animaker media can improve student learning outcomes in science lessons in fourth grade at SDN 14 Koto Lalang, Padang City.
