This study aims to develop a 90-watt air compressor machine powered by solar energy using a dual-axis solar tracker system to optimize solar energy absorption. The continued dependence on fossil fuels in Indonesia encourages the development of renewable energy technologies that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient. The dual-axis solar tracker system is designed to enable the solar panel to follow the direction of sunlight on two axes, namely east–west and north–south, so that the solar energy received by the panel can be maximized. The research method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), consisting of literature study, tool design, preparation of tools and materials, manufacturing, testing, data collection, and data analysis. The main components used include a 120 WP monocrystalline solar panel, 12V 12Ah battery, 220-watt inverter, solar charge controller, LDR sensor, actuator, gearbox dynamo, and a 90-watt air compressor. The testing parameters include voltage, current, solar panel output power, and battery charging capability. The results of the study indicate that the use of a dual-axis solar tracker is able to improve the effectiveness of solar energy absorption, thereby optimizing the performance of the solar panel in generating electrical energy. This system can support the operation of the air compressor more efficiently by utilizing solar energy. Therefore, the development of this tool is expected to become an alternative renewable energy technology that is energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and capable of reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
