STRATEGI GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBINA PERILAKU SISWA MELALUI KEGIATAN KEAGAMAAN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA NEGERI 26 SAROLANGUN

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of shaping student behavior amidst the increasingly complex development of the times, thus requiring the active role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering student behavior through religious activities. This study aims to describe the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering student behavior through religious activities at State Junior High School 26 Sarolangun. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering student behavior through the habituation of religious activities such as dhuha prayer, congregational zuhr prayer, yasin recitation, and Friday morning study sessions, as well as commemorating Islamic holidays. Supporting factors include the exemplary behavior of teachers, support from the school, the presence of religious activity programs, and the creation of a conducive atmosphere, while inhibiting factors include issues within the students themselves, the influence of the family environment, the influence of the peer environment, lack of cooperation, and the quality of education that has not yet been supportive. In conclusion, the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering student behavior through religious activities at Junior High School 26 Sarolangun has been implemented quite well thru various religious activities, although there are still some obstacles that need to be addressed.
