INTEGRASI PEMBELAJARAN DRAMA MUSIKAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA DI SMA 13 SEMARANG

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited integration of musical drama learning in high school Cultural Arts subjects, which has resulted in suboptimal development of students’ creativity. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of integrating musical drama learning and its role in enhancing students’ creativity at SMA Negeri 13 Semarang. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on understanding the learning process through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the integration of musical drama, which combines elements of drama, music, and movement, creates an active, collaborative, and expressive learning environment. Students are directly involved in scriptwriting, role-playing, rehearsals, and performances, which encourages imagination, originality, and creative thinking. In addition, this approach improves students’ confidence, communication skills, and teamwork. The study concludes that the integration of musical drama in classroom learning is an effective and innovative strategy to enhance students’ creativity and engagement, in line with the demands of 21st-century education.
