PENERAPAN MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBASIS MEDIA GENIALLY PADA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI SISWA KELAS X SMA HASYIM ASY`ARI 1 PUCUK

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the process and outcomes of implementing a Genially-based Discovery Learning model in teaching expository writing to 10th-grade students at Hasyim Asy'ari 1 High School in Pucuk. This study employed a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The study sample consisted of 19 students from Class 10-2. Data were collected through observation sheets documenting teacher and student activities, as well as a test assessing learning outcomes in expository writing. The data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the implementation of the Genially-based Discovery Learning model proceeded well in accordance with the six learning syntaxes. Teacher activities achieved a percentage of 93.9%, while student activities reached 85.42%. Student learning outcomes showed an average score of 81.84% with a classical mastery rate of 84.21%. A total of 16 out of 19 students met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). These findings indicate that the implementation of the Genially-based Discovery Learning model was able to make the learning process more active and interactive and supported improved learning outcomes in expository text writing.
