PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PUZZLE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA MATERI PECAHAN KELAS II SD BUDI MULIA DUA PANJEN, YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of puzzle learning media on students' learning outcomes and to describe students' learning motivation or responses in fraction material for second-grade students of SD Budi Mulia Dua Panjen, Yogyakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students: 20 students in class II A as the experimental class and 20 students in class II B as the control class. Data were collected through tests, response questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t-test, paired sample t-test, N-Gain, and percentage analysis of student responses with IBM SPSS. The results showed that the mean score of the experimental class increased from 70.00 in the pre-test to 80.00 in the post-test. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of < 0.001, indicating a significant increase in learning outcomes after the use of puzzle learning media. The N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.347 in the moderate category, while the control class was 0.004 in the low category. Students' and teachers' responses to the use of puzzle learning media reached 100.00%, categorized as very good. Thus, puzzle learning media positively influences the improvement of students' learning outcomes and receives very good responses as supporting data for students' learning motivation.
