KREATIVITAS GURU PKn DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN LITERASI DIGITAL KRITIS DAN ETIS SISWA PESANTREN BERBASIS SCREEN-FREE DI MTs DARUL HIKMAH TULUNGAGUNG

Abstract

This study aims to describe the creativity of Civic Education teachers in developing
critical and ethical digital literacy among Islamic boarding school students through
screen-free learning at MTs Darul Hikmah Tulungagung. This qualitative descriptive
study involved the principal, Civic Education teachers, and students of grades VII–
IX. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The
findings showed that teachers implemented discussion methods, question-answer
activities, case studies, presentations, mind mapping, and jigsaw learning
connected to students’ daily life and current issues. Supporting factors included
school support, pesantren policies, and conducive learning environments, while
inhibiting factors included limited technology access and varying student abilities.
The findings indicate that teacher creativity contributes significantly to strengthening
critical and ethical digital literacy.
