MANAJEMEN KELAS DALAM MENDUKUNG MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DI MADRASAH IBTIDAYAH AL-ABRAR MAKASSAR

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of classroom management in supporting students' learning motivation at MI Al-Abrar Makassar. The research focuses on the management of the classroom's physical facilities and the management of learners during the teaching and learning process. A qualitative approach with a descriptive research design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the head of the madrasah, classroom teachers, and students. Data validity was established through source and technique triangulation, while data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The subjects of this study were the head of the madrasah, the teachers of grades V and VI, and four students from those grades. The results show that classroom management at MI Al-Abrar Makassar has been carried out through two main aspects: facility management and learner management. Facility management includes seating arrangement adapted to learning needs, ventilation and lighting management, classroom cleanliness through scheduled duty rosters, and the use of varied learning media such as pictures, videos, and teaching aids. Learner management includes behavior control, discipline cultivation, conflict management, and the provision of learning motivation through appreciation and a pleasant learning atmosphere. These management practices have succeeded in creating an orderly, comfortable, and conducive learning environment that increases students' attention, enthusiasm, activeness, and motivation in learning.
