This study aims to examine the role of the "LENTERA" Program (Lembutnya Empati dan Rasa Tulus) The Gentleness of Empathy and Sincere Feeling) in fostering civic responsibility among students at SMAN 1 Margahayu, Bandung Regency. The study is motivated by the decline in youth social participation driven by individualism linked to the rapid use of social media and the fact that school-based Civic Education instruction remains largely verbalistic and rote-learning oriented, failing to optimally shape students' actual civic attitudes and behaviors. A qualitative approach utilizing a case study method was employed. Participants included program organizers, supervising teachers, and LENTERA Program participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation; analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model; and validated via source and technique triangulation with the aid of MAXQDA software. The results indicate that the LENTERA Program implemented through six structured stages combining experiential learning and service learning contributes significantly to the development of five indicators of civic responsibility: awareness of rights, acceptance of societal values, social responsibility and obligations, independent identity, and concern for the public interest, with social responsibility and obligations emerging as the most dominant indicator. These findings confirm that community service-based learning outside the classroom is more effective at strengthening the affective and behavioral dimensions of students' civic engagement than purely cognitive-theoretical Civic Education instructions.
