PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA WORDWALL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS BERITA SISWA KELAS XI TKJ SMK SWASTA INDONESIA MEMBANGUN 1 MEDAN

This study aims to determine the effect of using Wordwall media on the news writing skills of eleventh-grade TKJ students at SMK Swasta Indonesia Membangun 1 Medan.
The research methodology used was quantitative with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects consisted of 25 students selected through saturated sampling. The instrument used in this study was a news writing skills test administered through a pretest and posttest.
The results of the data analysis showed that the average pretest score before using Wordwall media was 54,2, which is in the poor category, while the average posttest score after using Wordwall media was 75,5, which is in the good category. Hypothesis testing using a t-test showed a calculated t-value of 8,01, while the t-table at a significance level of 0.05 was 2.01. Based on this comparison, it can be concluded that t count > t table, which means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Wordwall media has a positive and significant effect on students' ability to write news texts.
