PENGARUH MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN POP UP BOOK 3D TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PKN SISWA KELAS III SDIT QA BAITUSSALAM BOGOR

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low student learning outcomes in the Civics Education (PKn) subject, attributed to the use of instructional media that lacked variety and engagement. The study aimed to assess learning outcomes before and after using 3D Pop-Up Book instructional media and to determine the impact of this media on the Civics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDIT QA Baitussalam Bogor. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 64 students, divided into an experimental group (32 students) and a control group (32 students). Data collection involved pre-tests and post-tests, while data analysis utilized normality tests, homogeneity tests, and the Mann-Whitney hypothesis test, as the data were not normally distributed. The results showed that the experimental group's average pre-test score rose from 54.28 to 68.28 in the post-test (a 25.79% increase), whereas the control group's average pre-test score rose from 63.97 to 74.09 (a 15.82% increase). The Mann-Whitney test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.025 (less than 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of 3D Pop-Up Book instructional media has a significant effect on the Civics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDIT QA Baitussalam.
