PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA VIDEO ANIMASI PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA MATA PELAJARAN IPAS KELAS V SD NEGERI 040460 BERASTAGI T.P 2025/2026

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using animated learning videos on students' learning interest in the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 040460 Berastagi in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research was motivated by the low level of students' learning interest, which was indicated by their lack of attention, participation, and enthusiasm during the learning process. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental research method. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 040460 Berastagi. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to determine the effect of animated learning videos on students' learning interest. The results showed that the use of animated learning videos had a positive effect on students' learning interest. This was evidenced by improvements in students' attention, interest, motivation, and active participation during the learning process. Observation results indicated an increase in learning interest scores from a low category to a very high category after the implementation of animated learning videos. Furthermore, interviews with teachers and students revealed that animated learning videos made the learning process more engaging, enjoyable, and easier to understand. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of animated learning videos has a positive effect on students' learning interest in the IPAS subject at SD Negeri 040460 Berastagi.
