Pemanfaatan Teks Multimodal dalam Pembelajaran Matematika untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Soal Cerita Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas III SDN 2 Sandubaya, Lombok Timur dalam memahami soal cerita matematika. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman soal cerita melalui pemanfaatan teks multimodal dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Siklus I menggunakan media gambar kontekstual, Siklus II menggunakan kartu cerita, dan Siklus III menggunakan papan perkalian. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas III SDN 2 Sandubaya. Instrumen pengumpulan data mencakup tes pemahaman, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada setiap siklus: nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat dari 54,3 (pra-siklus) menjadi 65,7 (Siklus I), 74,2 (Siklus II), dan 82,5 (Siklus III). Ketuntasan belajar klasikal meningkat dari 32,1% menjadi 53,6%, 71,4%, dan 89,3% pada tiap siklus. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teks multimodal secara bertahap mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap soal cerita matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar.
