EFEKTIVITAS METODE SOSIODRAMA DALAM MENINGKATKAN KARAKTER BERKEBINEKAAN GLOBAL SISWA KELAS IV SDN 3 KRAPYAK

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Sociodrama method in improving the global diversity character of fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Krapyak. The research employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental Design with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population consisted of all 20 fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Krapyak, who were also selected as the research sample through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a 25-item questionnaire developed to measure students’ global diversity character. Data analysis included normality testing, homogeneity testing, hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R Square) test with the assistance of IBM SPSS software. The results showed that students’ global diversity character improved after the implementation of the Sociodrama method. In the pretest results, most students were categorized as very low (45%) and low (40%), whereas in the posttest results, the majority of students reached the high category (70%). The hypothesis test revealed that the calculated t-value (10.884) was greater than the t-table value (1.714), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test yielded an R Square value of 0.387, indicating that the Sociodrama method contributed 38.7% to the improvement of students’ global diversity character. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Sociodrama method is effective in enhancing the global diversity character of fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Krapyak.
