Internalisasi Prinsip Manajemen Mutu Terpadu: Analisis Fenomenologi Transformasi Organisasi Berbasis Seven Quality Management Principles di SMA Plus Pagelaran

Abstract

This research examines the internalization of Integrated Quality Management principles in organizational transformation at SMA Plus Pagelaran based on the Seven Quality Management Principles. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was applied to understand the experiences of school members in implementing quality management practices. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and education staff. The results indicate that the internalization process occurs through four interconnected stages, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. Planning is conducted collaboratively with attention to students’ needs and educational service quality improvement. Organizing is reflected in a structured system with clear task distribution based on competencies and strengthened coordination among school units. Implementation follows a structured process approach accompanied by continuous improvement and active participation of school members. Evaluation is carried out through monitoring, supervision, data utilization, and reflective practices to support decision-making. Several challenges were identified, including uneven understanding of quality concepts, differences in organizational culture, communication limitations, and inconsistencies in implementation. These challenges are addressed through leadership reinforcement, human resource development, and ongoing supervision. The findings suggest that internalization contributes to the development of a more structured, collaborative, and quality-oriented school culture.
