PERBEDAAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING BERBANTUAN WORDWALL PADA MATERI ASAM BASA

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in students’ motivation and learning outcomes, and to identify the correlation between learning motivation and students’ learning outcomes. The sample in this study consisted of students at SMAN 14 Medan from two classes: Class XI-6 as Experimental Class I and Class XI-7 as Experimental Class II. This study employed a quantitative research method. The results indicate that there are differences in student motivation and learning outcomes between Experimental Class I, which was taught using the wordwall-assisted PBL model, and Experimental Class II, which was taught using wordwall-assisted guided inquiry. This is evidenced by the fact that the mean learning outcome scores for Experimental Class I were higher with value 85.42 than those for Experimental Class II which has an average score 80.00. Similarly, the learning motivation of students in Experimental Class I was higher than that of Experimental Class II. From the hypothesis test results, using a two-tailed test (independent samples T-test), a Sig value of 0.003 was obtained, where Sig. α < 0.05; therefore, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The results of the students’ learning motivation, as determined using a two-tailed t-test (independent samples T-test), yielded a Sig value of 0.002, where Sig. α < 0.05; therefore, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. The relationship between students’ interest in learning and their learning outcomes shows that for experimental class I, the correlation was 0.815 (very high correlation). Meanwhile, for experimental class II, the correlation was 0.744 (high correlation).
