PENGARUH MOTIVASI BELAJAR, KEDISIPLINAN BELAJAR, LINGKUNGAN KELUARGA, LINGKUNGAN TEMAN SEBAYA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 1 TEBO

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of learning motivation, learning discipline, family environment, and peer environment on students' academic achievement at SMA Negeri 1 Tebo. The research employed a quantitative approach with a population of 128 students from grades X and XI, while the sample consisted of 67 students selected using proportional random sampling. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 20. The findings reveal that both family environment and peer environment significantly affect students' learning motivation. However, only the family environment was found to influence academic achievement through the mediating roles of motivation and discipline. Furthermore, learning discipline showed a significant effect on academic achievement, while learning motivation did not directly contribute to students' performance. These results highlight the essential role of family support and consistent discipline in shaping students' learning outcomes. Therefore, both schools and parents are encouraged to create a supportive environment and foster discipline to maximize students' academic success.
