This study aimed to determine the effect of a combination of interval training, shuttle run, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), sprint, and small sided games on improving VO₂Max among futsal athletes at SMA Al Falah Jambi City. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of six futsal athletes selected from a population of 25 extracurricular futsal participants. VO₂Max was measured using the Bleep Test (Multistage Fitness Test/MFT) before and after a five-week training program. The training program was designed based on the principle of progressive overload with gradually increasing intensity each week. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that the average VO₂Max increased from 37.07 ml/kg/min in the pretest to 41.20 ml/kg/min in the posttest, with an average improvement of 4.13 ml/kg/min. The Wilcoxon test revealed a Z value of -2.226 and a significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.026 (<0.05). These findings indicate that the combination of interval training, shuttle run, HIIT, sprint, and small sided games significantly improved the VO₂Max of futsal athletes at SMA Al Falah Jambi City. Therefore, this training program can be considered an effective alternative for improving cardiorespiratory endurance among school-age futsal athletes.
