Abstract

The low level of critical thinking skills among fourth-grade elementary school students is the main focus of this study. This research aims to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education learning. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a non equivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of all fourth-grade students, totaling 42 students, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using test and non-test instruments. The hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the Problem Based Learning model had a significant effect on the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 6 Metro Timur.
