ANALISIS UNSUR INTRINSIK NOVEL KOMET MINOR KARYA TERE LIYE DAN RELEVANSINYA SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR CERITA FIKSI PADA SISWA KELAS XII SMA

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements in the novel Komet Minor by Tere Liye and explain its relevance as a fictional story teaching material for grade XII high school students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a structural approach. The data source used is the novel Komet Minor by Tere Liye, while the research data are in the form of quotations that represent intrinsic elements. Data collection techniques were carried out through reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of identification, classification, description, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the novel Komet Minor has complete intrinsic elements, including theme, characters and characterization, plot, setting, point of view, style of language, and moral. A total of 54 intrinsic element data were found consisting of 8 theme data, 13 character and characterization data, 5 plot data, 9 setting data, 5 point of view data, 7 style of language data, and 7 moral data. In addition, this novel is relevant as a fictional story teaching material because it is in line with the learning outcomes, learning elements, and flow of learning objectives in the Independent Curriculum. The validation results by Indonesian language teachers obtained a percentage of 100% with a very relevant category. Thus, the novel Komet Minor is very suitable to be used as a fictional story teaching material for class XII high school students.
