Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of first-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri Oebobo 2 in their Pancasila Education lessons on the topic I Know the Indonesian Flag. The objective of this study is to improve students’ learning outcomes through the application of the picture and picture cooperative learning model. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with 26 first-grade students as subjects. Data collection techniques included observing teacher and student activities as well as administering achievement tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed improvements at each stage. In the pre-cycle, the average learning achievement score was 64.61 with a mastery rate of 50%. In Cycle I, the average score increased to 73.07 with a mastery rate of 61.53%. Furthermore, in Cycle II, the average score increased to 95.76 with a mastery rate of 100%. Teacher and student activities also improved from the adequate category to very good. Thus, the implementation of the picture-and-picture cooperative learning model has been proven to improve the learning outcomes of first-grade students in Pancasila Education lessons on the topic I Know the Indonesian Flag.
