This research is motivated by the high prevalence of academic stress experienced by final year students during the process of compiling their final assignments, which has an impact on decreasing their motivation, concentration, and psychological well-being. This study aims to: (1) describe the process of developing ambient music as a medium for student relaxation through the stages of preliminary studies, product development, expert validation, and limited trials; and (2) measure the feasibility of ambient music products based on assessments by material experts, practitioners, and user responses. This study uses the Research & Development (R&D) method with reference to the Borg & Gall model simplified by (Sutja, et al., 2017). The product developed is a 15-minute ambient music composition with a tempo of 60 BPM, based on a web platform that can be accessed independently by students. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators and final year students of Jambi University who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through validator assessment sheets and user response questionnaires, then analyzed using percentage-based qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that the product obtained a feasibility percentage of 88% from material experts with the category "Feasible", 90% from guidance and counseling practitioners with the category "Very Feasible", and was declared functionally feasible by media experts. In the limited trial stage, the product obtained a percentage of 71% with the category "Quite Feasible" from 51 student respondents. Overall, the ambient music product developed was declared feasible to be used as a non-clinical relaxation media that is easily accessible and can be used independently by students in managing academic stress during the preparation of final assignments, and has the potential to be a supporting media in guidance and counseling services in higher education.
