DAMPAK PSIKOLOGIS DAN SPIRITUAL ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR PASCA BENCANA SEMERU: STUDI DESKRIPTIF KUALITATIF

The eruption of Mount Semeru caused psychological and spiritual impacts on elementary school children, affecting learning continuity. This study aimed to describe children’s resilience after the Semeru disaster, focusing on mental and spiritual strength in elementary education. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving disaster-affected elementary school children. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that children’s resilience was reflected in emotional regulation, optimism, and strengthened spiritual closeness to God. Family support, social environment, and teachers’ roles through character-based learning contributed to strengthening children’s mental and spiritual resilience. This study highlights the importance of integrating character education and spiritual values in post-disaster psychosocial recovery.
