TINDAK TUTUR DIREKTIF DAN EKSPRESIF DALAM KOMENTAR WARGANET PADA INSTAGRAM GUS MIFTAH

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the use directive and espressive illocutionary acts that appear in netizens’ comments on the Instagram account @gusmiftah regarding the controversy involving Sunhaji as a traveling iced vendor. In this study, a qualitative descriptive method was applied, with data collection through the techniques of non –participant observation, note-taking, and documentation. The data analysis process was based on the theory of illocutionary acts proposed by Searle. The results revelaed 66 utterances, consisting of 31 directive illocutionary acts and 35 expressive illocutionary acts. The commanding function was the most frequently found in the espressive category. These findings indicate that social media comment sections are utilized by netizens as a means to express evaluations, attitudes, and responses to issues emerging in the digital public sphere.
