This paper presents the design concept of a water bicycle control system using a
2.4 GHz radio frequency (RF) remote control integrated with a Brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive. The proposed system employs a FlySky GT2 two-channel transmitter, a GR3E three-channel receiver, a dual-mode 36V/48V BLDC bicycle controller (500W), a PWM-to-voltage converter (0–5V), a DS3235SG Pro servo, and a 36V/500W BLDC motor powered by a 36V/25Ah LiFePO4 battery enclosed in an IP67-rated housing. The system architecture is designed around a two-channel wireless communication scheme where Channel 1 (CH1) governs rudder steering via the servo and Channel 2 (CH2) governs propulsion via the BLDC Controller. Theoretical analysis based on motor specifications shows a nominal full-load current of 16.3A—representing a 59.3% safety margin below the Controller rated capacity. A comparative analysis confirms that 2.4 GHz FHSS technology and BLDC motors provide the most suitable combination for remote-controlled aquatic applications. This design concept establishes a technical foundation for implementing efficient, remotely-operated water bicycle systems in recreational contexts.
