PENGADAAN SARANA DAN PRASARANA DALAM MENINGKATKAN EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN DI MTSN 2 SIDOARJO

Abstract

The improvement of education quality is not only determined by curriculum and teaching staff but also depends on the availability and management of adequate facilities and infrastructure. These facilities serve as the main support in teaching and learning activities, making their existence a strategic factor in enhancing learning effectiveness. This study aims to describe the procurement process of facilities and infrastructure at MTsN 2 Sidoarjo, analyze their influence on learning effectiveness, and identify challenges in their management. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research informants consist of the Vice Principal for Facilities and Infrastructure, the Head of Administration, administrative staff, teachers, and the school committee. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validation ensured by triangulation of sources and methods. The findings reveal that MTsN 2 Sidoarjo has developed a long-term roadmap for facilities and infrastructure, involving multiple stakeholders in planning, and implementing procurement and inventory collectively. Facilities such as classrooms, LCD projectors, laboratories, and libraries have proven to support learning effectiveness by creating a conducive, interactive, and practical learning environment. However, effectiveness is still constrained by limited funding, slow bureaucracy in asset disposal, and maintenance documentation that is not yet digitally integrated.
Overall, the procurement of facilities and infrastructure at MTsN 2 Sidoarjo contributes positively to improving education quality. Strategic improvements such as diversifying funding sources, digitizing inventory and maintenance systems, and simplifying asset disposal procedures are required to ensure more efficient, transparent, and sustainable management.
