BIMBINGAN PERKAWINAN SEBAGAI (BIMWIN) SEBAGAI INSTRUMEN PENCEGAHAN PERCERAIAN DINI (STUDI KASUS DI KANTOR URUSAN AGAMA KECAMATAN GUDO)

Abstract

Early divorce remains a common family issue, often caused by couples’ insufficient
preparedness for married life. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of
Marriage Guidance (BIMWIN) as an effort to prevent early divorce, describe its
implementation, and identify the factors that support and hinder its execution at the
Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Gudo District. The research employed a
qualitative method with an empirical approach. Data were collected through
interviews, observations, and documentation, and were subsequently analyzed
using descriptive qualitative techniques. The findings reveal that BIMWIN is
relatively effective in providing prospective brides and grooms with an
understanding of the objectives of marriage, the rights and obligations of spouses,
family communication, and conflict resolution. The program has been implemented
in accordance with applicable regulations and is supported by internal cooperation
and adequate facilities. However, several obstacles were identified, including the
limited awareness of some prospective couples and work-related permission
constraints. Through BIMWIN, prospective couples acquire better knowledge and
skills for building harmonious families, thereby minimizing the potential for early
divorce.
