UPAYA PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MELALUI PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN DEEP LEARNING PADA MATA PELAJARAN SABLON DIKELAS XI KKBT SMKN 4 PADANG

Education is a strategic effort to improve the quality of human resources in order to face increasingly complex global challenges. In the educational process, students are not only required to master theoretical knowledge but also to possess practical skills that are relevant to the needs of the workforce. However, the screen-printing skills of students in Class XI KKBT at SMKN 4 Padang were still relatively low. This study aimed to improve students' screen-printing skills through the implementation of the deep learning approach. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through observation, practical tests, and documentation. The results showed that the average score of students' skills increased from 58.08 in the pre-action stage to 65.25 in Cycle I and further increased to 80 in Cycle II. In Cycle II, 5 students were categorized as very good, 7 students as good, and 3 students as fair. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the deep learning approach was effective in improving the screen-printing skills of Class XI KKBT students at SMKN 4 Padang.
