PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA GELASTIK TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA TOPIK PERKALIAN KELAS III DI SD NEGERI 2 PENATIH DENPASAR

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the core subjects in the elementary education curriculum. However, students in Grade III still experience difficulties in understanding the concept of multiplication due to teacher-centered learning and the lack of instructional media usage, which consequently leads to suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Gelastik media on students' learning outcomes on the topic of multiplication. The theory used to analyze the problem is Jean Piaget's cognitive constructivism theory. This study employed a quantitative approach with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects involved 61 third-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Penatih Denpasar. Data collection methods included tests and document studies. Data were analyzed using prerequisite analysis tests and hypothesis testing with the independent sample t-test formula. The results showed a significance value (sig) of 0.000 < 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning Model Assisted by Gelastik Media has a significant effect on students' learning outcomes on the topic of multiplication in Grade III at SD Negeri 2 Penatih Denpasar.
