IMPLEMENTASI ECO-LEADERSHIP SISWA BERBASIS NILAI PANCASILA DALAM PENGELOLAAN LIMBAH MBG MENJADI KOMPOS, MAGGOT, DAN ECO ENZYME DI SMPN 30 SURABAYA

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of eco-leadership based on Pancasila values in managing Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) waste into compost, maggot, and eco enzyme at SMPN 30 Surabaya. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving students of grades 7, 8, and 9 who are members of the environmental cadre. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results indicate that the implementation of eco-leadership is carried out systematically through stages of collecting, sorting, and processing MBG waste into environmentally valuable products, namely compost, maggot, and eco enzyme. These activities reflect the internalization of Pancasila values, particularly mutual cooperation, responsibility, environmental awareness, and social justice in students’ real practices. Furthermore, this implementation contributes to enhancing students’ environmental care character and leadership skills in managing environment-based activities.The findings imply that school-based waste management through an eco-leadership approach can serve as an effective contextual learning model in integrating environmental education and character education based on Pancasila values.
