EFEKTIVITAS STRATEGI MIND MAPPING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN MAHASISWA PBSI UNESA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mind mapping strategy on the reading comprehension skills of PBSI UNESA students. The study employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 21 students as respondents. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, and student response questionnaires. The results indicate that the mind mapping strategy has a positive effect on students’ reading comprehension skills. Improvements were observed in the ability to comprehend reading content, identify main ideas, and think critically. Additionally, most students provided positive feedback because this strategy helped them understand the text more easily and made reading activities more engaging. Thus, mind mapping is effective as an alternative reading comprehension learning strategy for PBSI UNESA students.
