Abstract

This phenomenon is also evident at the CRC Muaro Jambi Car-Free Day, with the emergence of recreational sports communities, such as jogging. This phenomenon has become a current trend for maintaining a sense of community in society. This phenomenon has a positive impact if implemented consistently and sustainably. Additionally, the development of a modern lifestyle that tends to be sedentary due to technological advancements has led many people to experience a decline in physical activity. The objective of this study is to describe and examine participants’ experiences and understanding, as well as what makes the community feel comfortable and enjoy sports activities at the Car Free Day event in CRC Muaro Jambi. This study employs a qualitative method. The research subjects are visitors to Car Free Day at CRC Muaro Jambi who actively participate in recreational sports activities. Participants were selected to be at least 17 years of age, as they are considered capable of providing information consciously and objectively. The results of the study reveal the public’s experiences when engaging in sports at Car Free Day at CRC Muaro Jambi. They initially went jogging at the CRC, but since it’s so crowded these days, they’ve switched to just taking a leisurely walk. They usually go every week if there are no other activities. They visit the CRC to help children practice rollerblading, but since the ground isn’t level, it can only be used for physical exercise; it’s not suitable for recreational rollerblading. The community understands and appreciates the value of the community sports activities held during Car Free Day at the CRC in Muaro Jambi. Car Free Day activities take place every Friday and Saturday, with many people engaging in sports and a bazaar. Besides exercising, it also serves as physical training. Since most children spend their time on their phones, these activities provide a fun way to keep them active. The sports activities at CRC are a great way to fill free time, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when there are no classes on campus and it’s very close to their dorms. Making the community feel comfortable and enjoy the sports activities at the CRC Muaro Jambi Car Free Day. The Car Free Day activities currently being held are quite enjoyable. initially, the road was open to vehicles, but now it’s separated for those exercising. As for the facilities, they’re quite good; however, parking security is a bit of an issue because not all areas have parking attendants, so there’s a slight fear of losing one’s motorcycle. At CRC, training is quite comfortable, and the environment is still pleasant, yes.
